Recently, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has revised the 16 C.F.R. Part 1227 safety standards for baby carriages and child trolleys, and the new regulations will be formally implemented in October 2nd this year.

It is understood that the main change of the new regulation of CPSC baby stroller is that the standards specified by the regulations have changed. The ASTM F833 - 13b "consumer safety specification - strollers and children's trolley" has been changed to ASTM F833 - 15 "consumer safety specification - baby carriages and children's trolleys." This means that from October 2nd, our baby car exported to the United States and children's trolley should be tested according to the new detection method under the new standard. The new regulations involve dozens of laboratories in China related to baby cars and children's trolleys.

The latest version of the ASTM F833-15 standard includes the following amendments:

Add the definition of convertible car seat / trolley (for example, the car seat which can be turned into a cart, with wheels and handles), clearly explain the difference between the convertible seat / trolley and the car seat combination on the trolley.

Add two new definitions to indicate the location of the pallet / handrails' locking and stopping position.

Products that are used as car seats and can be converted into trolleys and can use the restraint system of car seats can be exempted from barge restraint system and belt position regulations.

All applicable positions of adjustable handrails / pallets must be tested if dangerous openings can be formed.

All types of tricycle must display warning labels whether or not they are equipped with removable wheel fork assemblies.
