The testing standard and limit value requirement of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX eco eco textile products have been updated. The new standard will take effect on all certification products in April 1, 2017 after a 3 month transitional period.
The leather standard LEATHER STANDARD by OEKO-TEX was released in the same period. It was independent of the requirements of natural leather and natural leather products in the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX standard. In the 2017 edition of the OEKO-TEX standard, it is also pointed out again that the leather parts of textiles need to comply with the latest effective LEATHER STANDARD by OEKO-TEX, so the restriction requirements for leather materials in the 2017 edition are deleted.

Friendly Reminder
The OEKO-TEX update has added a variety of restricted substances, and has made clear the different requirements of leather and textiles. The leather parts of textiles must meet the requirements of LEATHER STANDARD by OEKO-TEX. Textile enterprises are facing more stringent requirements. It is suggested that companies choose authoritative inspection and consulting institutions to seek professional compliance programs.
