Recently, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Food Direct Contact Materials and Products (hereinafter referred to as: Food Contact Standard Committee) 2022 annual meeting and standard validation will be held in Beijing. More than 50 members, experts and representatives from national food packaging materials and products enterprises, inspection institutions and scientific research units attended the meeting. As one of the committee members, EQO Testing was attended the meeting by Manager Hu Aisheng, a senior engineer of chemical laboratory.

The meeting was chaired by Wang Xuhua, Deputy Director of the Quality Standard Department of China Light Industry Federation and Chairman of the Food Contact Standard Committee. Nie Bo, Director of Comprehensive Department of Quality Standard Department of China Light Industry Federation and Secretary General of Food Contact Standard Committee, made a report on the work in 2022.

The meeting affirmed the great progress made by the Food Contact Standard Committee in 2022 in terms of standard establishment, standard plan implementation, standard publication and interpretation and implementation. 2023 will continue to improve the standard system and strengthen standard dissemination and implementation.

The participating members discussed the standard system in the field of food direct contact materials and products, and reviewed 2 industry standards such as " Maifanite Stone Purple Pottery Vessel " and "Heat-resistant glass preservation box" for review.  

The meeting completed the agenda.
