The group standard formulated by Eqo Testing and Certification Co., Ltd. as the main drafting unit - "Children's Helmet Evaluation Standard", was released on the national group standard information platform on September 1, 2021, and the standard will be officially launched on October 1.

This standard tests and evaluates children's helmets from the quality indicators that consumers are more concerned about, especially the performance test of the helmet's ability to absorb side impact energy, using Q10 dummies to wear children's helmets for dynamic side impact tests, and using the head injury index HIC (15 ) and head acceleration (3ms) as evaluation indicators, compared with the performance test of helmet absorbing collision energy required by national standards, this test item more truly reflects the collision process of children's helmets in practice (the following is the test video) .

The main technical content of the standard includes protective performance (the performance of the helmet to absorb side impact energy, the performance of the helmet to absorb the impact energy), the effectiveness of the wearing device (the strength of the wearing device, the durability of the wearing device's fastening device), the comfort of the helmet wearing (helmet quality, wearing device, odor), chemical safety (migratory elements, phthalates), etc.
