Recently, the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee held the 16th meeting of the standard working group for car child seats (the first meeting in 2021) in Kunshan, which was organized and undertaken by Eqo Testing and Certification Co., Ltd. Representatives of China Automotive Technology and Research Center Standards Institute, National Car Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, Pan Asia Automobile, BMW (China), MCEF (Ningbo), FAW R&D Institute, SAIC Volkswagen, Chongqing Changan and other enterprises attended the meeting. Mr. Zhu, Chairman of EQO Testing, Mr. Andy Zhu, Director of Regulation & Quality Department, and Manager Long, Manager of Safety Seat Laboratory, attended the meeting on behalf of EQO.

During the meeting, the participants reported and exchanged information on the progress of each project, focusing on the revision and confirmation of the first draft of the GB 27887 standard revision draft. The coordination of GB 27887 with GB 14166 and GB 14167, the discussion of the draft standard for smart child seat products, and the discussion of the draft text of the ISO 29061 standard conversion.
