AQSIQ released recall work of defective products in the first half of 2017, recalled 4 million 760 thousand and 100 cars and 3 million 16 thousand and 800 consumer goods.

In July 19th, the inspection and supervision department of the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine issued the recall work of defective products in the first half of 2017. Data show that in the first half of this year, China has implemented 143 defective vehicle products recall, involving 4 million 760 thousand and 100 vehicles, and implemented 252 consumer products recall, involving 3 million 16 thousand and 800 pieces of products, and effectively played the positive role of defective product recall system in maintaining consumer product safety and urging enterprises to fulfill their product quality responsibilities and obligations.


 


In the recall work of defective automobile products, in the first half of 2017, our country carried out 143 recall activities, involving 4 million 760 thousand and 100 vehicles. Among them, affected by the AQSIQ defect investigation, the relevant auto products producers have implemented 19 recalls, involving 1 million 602 thousand and 300 vehicles, accounting for 33.66% of the total number of car recalls in the first half of 2017. Since the implementation of the recall system for defective automobile products in 2004, China has implemented 1440 vehicle recalls, involving more than 40 million vehicles, reaching 41 million 449 thousand and 800 vehicles.


 


According to the recall of vehicle recall, the top three recalls in the first half of 2017 were: recall of airbags and seat belts, a total of 47 times, involving 1 million 563 thousand and 600 vehicles; 34 recall of engine problems, involving 1 million 296 thousand and 800 vehicles; and recall of electrical installations, totaling 7 times, involving 620 thousand and 100 vehicles.


 


In the recall of defective consumer products, China has implemented 252 consumer products recalls, involving 3 million 16 thousand and 800 pieces of products. Among them, affected by the AQSIQ defect investigation, relevant consumer product producers have implemented 69 recalls, involving 1 million 177 thousand and 500 products, accounting for 39.03% of the total number of consumer goods recalled in the first half of 2017. Since the implementation of the defective consumer product recall system in 2016, China has implemented a total of 488 consumer products recall, covering 11 categories of products, involving more than 9 million 200 thousand products.


 


From the recall of consumer products to the product category, the top three recalls in the first half of 2017 were: electronic and electrical products recall, 59 times, involving 1 million 188 thousand and 200 products; other transportation equipment recall, a total of 12 times, involving 1 million 186 thousand and 800 products; children's products recall, 163 times, involving 456 thousand and 100 products.


 


In the first half of this year, the highlights of the recall work for defective vehicle products were highlighted. The annual forum of Boao forum for Asia 2017 annual meeting of the "auto recall: safety assurance on the road" was successfully held. The investigation and administrative interviews on the failure of the gas field generator in the high field were carried out in an orderly manner. The recall of defective consumer products has achieved remarkable results, and children's products safety publicity and education activities have been carried out continuously, and through the defect investigation, enterprises are encouraged to fulfill their duty of recall.


 


Next, AQSIQ will continue to improve the recall system for defective consumer products, and make strict efforts to formulate regulations on the recall of defective consumer products, so as to speed up the legislative process and introduce it as soon as possible. Establish and improve the defective consumer product recall expert library, consolidate the technical support force for consumer product recall. Continue to strengthen the supervision of defective product recall. Efforts should be made to strengthen the supervision of defect information collection, analysis, defect investigation and recall implementation, to conduct timely defect investigation on defective automobiles and consumer goods, supervise and urge enterprises to fulfill their recall obligations, and ensure the safety of consumers' personal property. Investigate and prosecute enterprises that do not voluntarily fulfill recall obligations, do not cooperate with defect investigation, and report false information. We should strengthen the guidance and supervision of the quality inspection departments at the provincial level. We should strengthen propaganda and training work for production enterprises to help producers enhance their legal obligations to recall.
