The national standard "determination of total lead content in toys and children's materials" (GB/T 22788 - 2016) has been approved recently by Jiangsu billion inspection and Technical Service Co., Ltd., which will be formally implemented in July 1, 2017.

This standard takes the place of the determination of total lead content in the surface coating of toys (GB/T 22788-2008).Compared with the 2008 edition, the new standard has increased the determination method of total lead content in metal and non-metallic materials for toys and children's products. The standard range of use is extended from toys to toys and children's articles. It provides an important basis for the determination and research work of total lead content in all materials of toys and children's products, and will play a positive role in promoting the development of industry detection level.
