Children's stationery is a daily consumer product that every student should use. Recently, the AQSIQ defective product management center organized experts to investigate the sales of pencil stationery on the market, and found that some of the pen products are unique in shape or with toy function, which is favored by students.

Examples of children's pen stationery with unique modeling or toy functions

If the above stationery is used by children as stationery, its design may not conform to the national standard for student supplies. Once swallowed by children, it may lead to suffocation. In order to protect children from such products, a warning on the consumption of children's pen stationery is issued.

1. do not purchase any pen products without any trademark recognition as children's articles for children's use.

2. when purchasing pen products, the following inspections should be conducted:

(1) check the cap of the pen: try to choose a larger cap or design a pen holder to prevent children from accidentally swallowing the cap. Or the top of the cap should be designed with holes and the holes should be as large as possible. The main purpose is to keep the gaps in the throat when the children are accidentally swallowed by the pen cap.

(2) check the tail plug: if there is a tail plug, check whether the fastness of the tail plug is large enough and not easy to be grabbed; or the tail plug has an air passage design, so as to prevent the risk of suffocation caused by the eating of the tail plug and being eaten by the child.

(4) parents should prevent children from developing the habit of "biting pen", so that the pen cap and tail plug can be mistakenly swallowed into the throat. If the pen clip and tail plug fall off, children should not be used as stationery.

(5) if children are injured in the use of pen stationery, consumers may report injury information or submit defect clues to the AQSIQ defective product management center.
