Determination of specific phthalate two formic acid plasticizers in toys and childrens products (GB/T 22048-2015)

The national standard "determination of specific o-phthalic acid two plasticizer in toys and children's products" GB/T 22048-2015 has been released recently, which replaced GB/T 22048-2008. It is the latest national standard for testing harmful substances in children's products.

The standard provides for the determination of dibutyl phthalate (DBP), butyl phthalate (BBP), o-benzoic acid two (2- ethylhexyl) ester (DEHP), ortho phenyl two formic acid two octyl ester (DNOP), o-phenyl two acid nonyl ester (DINP) and o-phenyl two carboxylic acid two isodecyl ester (DIDP) in toys and children's products. The method for the determination of two kinds of o-phenyl two formic acid plasticizers is DEHP.

GB/T 22048 provides for the determination of specific o-phthalate two formic acid plasticizers in toys and children's products. The detection of other ortho phenyl two formates is usually carried out in accordance with this standard. The original standard GB/T 22048-2008 "toys and children's products PVC plastics in the determination of phthalate two formic acid plasticizer" is suitable for polyvinyl chloride toys and children's products. This updated standard is renamed "toys and children's products in the determination of specific o-phthalate two formate plasticizer", expanding the scope of the application of the standard.
