Kunshan Bureau experts said, o-phthalate two esters are a class of chemicals that can increase ductility, elasticity and softness. Commonly known as plasticizers, there are more than 10 commonly used plasticizers, which have been widely used in toys, food packaging and other products. WHO points out that o-phthalic acid two can enter the body and animals, which may act as estrogen, interfere with endocrine, promote precocious puberty in women, and decrease sperm quality in men. For children, the development of reproductive organs may lead to gender disorder.
According to the EU REACH regulation, all toys and children's products are prohibited from containing 3 kinds of o-benzoic acid two formic acid esters, namely two phthalate (two), two dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and o-phenyl two carboxylic acid butyl ester (BBP).In addition, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Australia, Brazil and other countries have restrictions on the content of o-benzoic acid two in children's products.
In January 1st of this year, the national mandatory safety standard for toys, GB6675-2014, issued by the AQSIQ and the national standards committee, was officially implemented in the toy safety, and 6 kinds of two phthalate esters were restricted. The implementation time of the new regulation is still less than 1 years, and quite a few domestic children's products enterprises haven't aroused enough understanding. Kunshan Bureau experts remind toys and children's products enterprises to pay close attention to and collect laws and regulations on health, health and environmental protection of importing countries, so as to avoid huge losses caused by blind production. At the same time, we should attach importance to the check of raw materials, strengthen the management of suppliers, and establish strict acceptance procedures to ensure product safety from the source.
