From January 1, 2017, China will supply V standard refined oil to all suppliers.

From January 1, 2017, the V standard product oil will be supplied to the country in full, and the number of gasoline brands will be adjusted from No. 90, No. 93 and No. 97 to four grades 89, 92, 95 and 98. Previously, 11 provinces in eastern Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong, Guangdong and Hainan have been upgraded to the national V standard.

National V standard

The fifth phase of the national vehicle emission standard is "national V standard". The national V emission standard is equivalent to the fifth stage emission standard being implemented in Europe, and the restrictions on motor vehicle emissions such as nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and suspended particulates are more stringent.

The national V standard has the following advantages:

(1) after the upgrading of vehicle gasoline and diesel, the emissions of nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and particulate matter can be effectively controlled, thereby significantly reducing PM2.5 emissions from vehicle exhaust.

2. The performance of the oil is improved, the engine works more smoothly, and helps to protect the three way catalytic converter.

Choose the right gasoline.

No. 92 gasoline -- suitable for ordinary cars with low technical content

No. 92 gasoline is suitable for vehicles under one hundred thousand of the market and with mature engine technology and no excessive fuel requirements.

No. 95 petrol -- suitable for most cars.

No. 95 gasoline is generally suitable for turbocharging and relatively high compression models. It can be compatible with the vast majority of vehicles in the market.

No. 98 gasoline -- suitable for high-end luxury cars and large horsepower sports cars.

Compared to No. 92 and No. 95 gasoline, the production of No. 98 gasoline will have higher requirements for technology and equipment. The antiknock performance of No. 98 gasoline is the best of the three gasoline, and it is also the highest production standard.

Will fuel consumption increase?

A slight increase in fuel consumption is more affected by personal driving habits, road conditions, vehicle conditions and other factors.

After No. 93 is converted to No. 92, there is no significant change in fuel consumption. There is no need to worry.

After No. 97 was converted to No. 95, the fuel consumption increased by an average of 0.37%, that is, each vehicle plus 60 liters of oil needed more than 0.2 liters.

What is the change in oil prices?

Prices have risen slightly, but not in different regions. At present, Sinopec, PetroChina and other oil companies are still selling V oil at the national IV price before December 31st of this year. After the new year's day, the price of V oil will be sold uniformly according to the price approved by the price department.

Do you want to clean the tank before upgrading the oil product?

The first replacement does not need to clean the oil tank, and then complete the natural transition after four or five times.

Can oil mix?

Mixed gasoline with different grades will not have obvious problems in the short term, but long-term mixing will lead to blockage of carbon and oil.

What if we add the wrong oil?

(1) the car with low mark oil was added with high standard oil: usually nothing.

(2) the car with high standard oil is marked with low labelled oil: it depends on whether the two labels are too different and the amount added. If the difference between the two labels is too large or almost the whole tank is marked with low mark oil, it is suggested that the owner release the wrong gasoline or purchase the relevant fuel additives to improve the oil quality and reduce the damage of the low oil products to the engine.
