In May 26, 2015, the National Standard Committee approved the release of the mandatory national standard GB 31701-2015 "infant and child textile product safety technical specification". This is our country's first mandatory national standard for textile products for infants and children. This standard carries out a comprehensive regulation on the safety performance of children's clothing, and will help guide production enterprises to improve the safety and quality of children's clothing, and protect the health and safety of infants and children. The standard will be formally implemented in June 1, 2016.
In view of the particularity of infants and children groups, the standard has further improved the safety requirements of infants and children's textile products on the basis of the original textile safety standard GB 18401-2010, and the safety requirements have been upgraded comprehensively.
Chemical safety requirements: the standard increased 6 kinds of plasticizers and lead, cadmium, 2 kinds of heavy metal requirements.
Physical mechanical safety:
1, standards for children's clothing neck, shoulder, waist and other parts of the rope to make detailed provisions, requiring infants and young children under 7 years of age, clothing, head and neck do not allow any rope.
2. The standard also stipulates textile accessories. The accessories should have certain tensile strength and should not have sharp edges and sharp edges.
3, increase the combustion performance requirements.
4. Down feather feathers should meet the requirements of microorganism in GB/T 17685.
According to the age difference, children's clothing is divided into two categories, which are suitable for infants and young children aged 36 months or less. They are dressed in infants and young children's textile products. They are suitable for children aged 3 and above, who are 14 years old and younger.
In order to ensure the smooth transition of the market, the standard has set up a transitional period of two years. The transition period will be implemented from June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2018. During the transition period, the products that were manufactured and met the relevant standards before June 1, 2016 were allowed to continue to be sold in the market. The testing institutions were tested according to the standards executed by the enterprises. From June 1, 2018 onwards, all relevant products on the market must meet the requirements of this standard.
